The present book “OBJECTIVE POMOLOGY (FRUIT SCIENCE)” is written by the present scenario. The book is designed to cater to the needs of B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. students of Horticulture (Fruit Science). Our main motive is to cover the entire ASRB-NET syllabus of Fruit Science (Pomology) in a single handbook in an objective format. It brings us great pleasure to offer the readers with the first edition of the book. Many publications on objective Fruit Science are available in the market, but only a very few cover the syllabus of the Agriculture Scientist Recruitment Board National Eligibility (ASRB NET) for the Fruit Science discipline. We have made every attempt in this area to address the topics on Fruit Science as prescribed by the ASRB. The objective questions on each topic were prepared after a thorough review and analysis of several previous year’s questions from various competitive examinations for the exam perspective, and hope the book will be benefitted to students preparing for ASRB ARS- NET Fruit Science, AIEEA JRF, SRF, SAU and CAU entrances, Horticulture officer and other competitive examinations. Of course, every attempt has been made to make the presentation clear, and free of errors but there may be chances of creeping errors and we welcome the valuable comments, corrections, and suggestions in line with refinement and revision of text for the improvement of this book. We are confident that readers will benefit by reading this book for different competitive exams especially ASRB NET for Fruit Science.
